Jackie Miller

November 30, 1932 — May 10, 2026

Green

Jacqueline “Jackie” Miller, 93, of Green, passed away on May 10, 2026. She was born on November 30, 1932 in Provo, Utah to the late Carey and Margaret (Berry) Hartzell.

Jackie was a graduate of the former Lehman High School. She was a longtime member of Greensburg United Methodist Church, a member of the Red Hat Society and the Tyler Garden Club.

Her community involvement didn’t stop there. She also volunteered during election time as a poll worker and enjoyed volunteering at the former Rivera Lanes for the PBA.

Among Jackie’s many talents were her crafting abilities. She was a skilled seamstress, sewing recital costumes and clothing, as well as doing macramé and ceramics.

Another talent she had was shopping. Her husband Ed even gave her the nickname of “Professional Shopper” as she knew how to find all the good clearance deals everywhere she went.

Jackie was a devoted mother and especially grandmother, whose life was defined by an unwavering commitment to her family. She was a constant, cheering presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren, never missing a single game, performance, or event.

In addition to supporting her own, Jackie was also a dedicated fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers, bringing fierce enthusiasm during every game.

She also understood the importance of a moment; she never missed an opportunity to be with her granddaughter before school dances, ensuring every memory was captured. She had a love for documenting her family through the lens of her camera so that no smile or milestone would ever be forgotten. She more recently also cherished every moment spent with her great-grandsons, Brady and Carter.

Jackie’s spirit of fun was most evident during the family’s annual trip to Cedar Point. It was a tradition she looked forward to all year, where she could always be found enjoying her favorite ride, the Tilt-A-Whirl.

At home, Jackie brought the family together through her cooking and a love for spirited competition of Rummikub. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, famous for her lasagna, pumpkin pies, and snickerdoodles—and no New Year’s Eve was complete without her signature sauerkraut balls.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her daughter Candace Giacomo and her son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Kathleen Miller; grandchildren Valerie (Nick) Muhvic, Andrew Giacomo and Bryce Miller; great-grandsons, Brady and Carter Muhvic; as well as many loved and cherished nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Everett “Ed” Miller; treasured sisters, Peg Spataro and Darlene Shanafelt; and more recently, her beloved grandson, Evan Miller, surely greeted by the same love she shared with him here.
