Jacob H. Garrettson, age 69 of Canton, died Saturday in Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Sutton, West Virginia to the late Martin and Garnet (Cogar) Garrettson. Jacob was retired from the Brookwood Management Company and served in the Navy. He was a wonderful husband, father, and Pap Paw to his grandchildren. Surviviors include his wife of 44 years, Ritamae (Poling) Garrettson of the home, 2 sons; William Dean (Jennifer) Garrettson of Massillon and Thomas Randall (Deborah) Garrettson of Canton; 4 grand-daughters; Maurissa, Danae, Trisha and Kaitlyn. 2 sisters Fay (Bill) Hall of Louisville, Ohio and Rose (Gail) Robinson of Weston, WV, brother Clyde (Shirley) Garrettson of Church Road, Virginia and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Tuesday 11:00 A.M. in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Sander officiating.
