Jacob A. Cernik, age 64, of Hartville formerly of Canton, went to be with the Lord on Friday October 29, 2021 after a 15 year struggle with dementia.  He was born in Canton on January 8, 1957 to the late Jacob Jr. and Sylvia Sue (Buchanan) Cernik and graduated from Canton South High School. He was retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years. He was a member of The First Church of the Resurrection. He was a devoted husband and father.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Valle (Bell); son Jacob Cernik IV; sister Susan (Lenny) Dasco; siblings-in-law Stacey (Ron) Metzger, Denise (Dale) Sprout, Elden (Myra) Bell; and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by daughter Nicole Cernik; sister Darlene Hudspeth and brother-in-law Cary Bell.

Calling hours are Tuesday 5-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home, 504 W. Maple St., Hartville. Funeral services are Wednesday 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastors Bruce Mont and JR Rozko officiating. Final resting place is Sunset Hills Burial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Homestead at Gentlebrook in Hartville or the church.
