IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jack Richard
Griffin
March 25, 1937 – January 14, 2021
Jack Richard Griffin, age 83, of Uniontown was called home to heaven on Thursday January 14th, 2021. He was born in Akron on March 25th, 1937 to the late Harold Everett and Geraldine Fay (Douglas) Griffin. After graduating from Springfield High School, Jack proudly served in the Army National Guard. He stayed active with the military by volunteering for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), where he was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award for his years of faithful service towards veterans and military families. Jack retired from his career at Brennan and Howard Inc. after 35 years of diligent service.
Jack is survived by the love of his life and wife of 62 years, Janet Humbert Griffin; daughter Kelly Stanford; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Annie Griffin; grandchildren Seth (Jill) Daniels, Isaiah Stanford, Haley (Shane) Gardner, Moriah (Alex) Pitts, Nathaniel Griffin, Matthew Griffin and Jessica Griffin; great-grandson Hayven Gardner and soon to be born great-granddaughter Raelynn Pitts; sisters Audrey Bryant and Shirley Dionne. Jack was proud of his grandchildren and could always be found loudly cheering at their soccer games, track meets, dance recitals, and numerous other events. His love for his family was only equaled by their love for him.
Jack is preceded in death by infant son Mark and infant daughter, and sister Doris Kelly.
Those who knew Jack will remember him for his sense of humor and how he left a smile on the face of everyone he met. Jack spent many happy days hunting, fishing, golfing, and exploring parks with his wife.
