Isabelle Dorothy Renfand Riley, age 97, of North Canton, beloved mother and grandmother, passed at St. Luke's Nursing Home on Tuesday September 20, 2016, in the loving presence of her daughter. Born in Canton on March 29, 1919 at home to the late August and Minnie (Wiese) Renfand, she graduated from McKinley High School in 1937. She worked for over 30 years at First National Bank (Currently Chase). Isabelle was a lifetime member of Grace United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School. Her faith and family were everything to her. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and her grandchildren fondly called her "Grandma House." She liked crossword puzzles, reading, crocheting and knitting, and her cat Tiger. She was a truly selfless woman who's generosity of spirit informed her every action.
Preceded in death by siblings Lillian Renfand, Walter Renfand, Delores (Joe) Bitto and twin Annabelle (William) Rhodes; niece Dawn Rhodes. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Denise and Ross Swank; grandchildren Ryan Swank, Jessica Swank; great-grandsons Colin, Griffin and Finnigan Swank; nieces and nephews including Craig (Audrey) Rhodes and Terry (Carol) Rhodes; and great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Monday 11 AM- noon at Arnold Funeral Home and funeral services beginning at 12 noon with Rev. Jackie McMillen officiating. Final resting place is Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Church of Christ or Senior Connection Hospice. We would like to thank Izzy's special nurses and aides who took such loving care of her.
