Irene K. "G-G" Hertel, age 98, of Uniontown passed on Tuesday January 29, 2008 at Altercare of Hartville where she entertained the staff with her very colorful stories. She was born in Oak Park, IL on July 2, 1909 to the late Edward and Bertha (Urban) Kramer and lived in Melrose Park, IL. When her husband Robert died in 1945, she worked until she was 80 years old missing only one day when her mother died. G-G moved to Ohio 6 years ago to be with family. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bobette and Jerry Jeskey of Uniontown; grandchildren Jacque (Chris Freimuth) Jeskey of WI, Jerry (Denise) Jeskey of TN, Jim (Erin) Jeskey, Joey Anderson all of Akron; great-grandchildren, Alex Freimuth, Nicole and Alan Jeskey, James, Joseph, Jack and Jacob Jeskey. Friends may call on Friday 5-7 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville. A service will be held Friday 7 PM in the funeral home. Final resting place is Mt. Carmel Cemetery in IL.
