Irene M. Coleman, age 93, of Uniontown formerly of Oregon City, OR, passed away on Monday October 25, 2010. She was born in Forbes, North Dakota on April 3, 1917 to the late Adolph and Hester (Brown) Smith. When her children were in school, she was the head cook at Wichita School. Then she was a dorm mother in North Dakota College and pursued accounting classes. She was an accounting supervisor for Neighbors of Woodcraft Insurance Co. retiring in 1980's. After retiring she was always involved with her family especially her grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Howard S. Coleman in 1975; 2 brothers William and Lewis Smith. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ellen and Theodore Kunselman of Uniontown; sons and daughters-in-law William and Kathy Coleman of CA, Gary and Brandy Coleman of Scott Mills, OR; 7 grandchildren 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sister Isabelle Vick of Oviedo, FL; and other family and friends. Services are Thursday 6 PM at Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton with Chaplain Sandy Hutchinson officiating. Services are Saturday 11 AM at Rose City Funeral Home and Cemetery in Portland, OR with Rev. Tom Arnold officiating. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
