Ira "Adam" Machamer, age 75 of Hartville passed away Saturday April 22, 2006 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. Born in Hartville on August 26, 1930 to the late Ira and Catherine (Upperman) Machamer, he was a 1948 graduate of Marlboro High School, then served in the US Marines from 1950-1954. He was the owner of Adam's Pipeline and had retired from Akron- Canton Airport in 1988. Ira was a member of St. Jacob's Community Church in Cairo and Conrad Lodge No. 271 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Canton. He loved the outdoors and nature; and, his pride and joys were his grandsons. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou (Walker); daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Mike Richards of Canton, Lynn and John Kiko of Marlboro; grandsons, Adam Richards and Matthew Richards of Canton, John (and Dannelle) Kiko of Marlboro, Jack (and Jenna) Kiko of Louisville, Jeff Kiko and Jason Kiko of Marlboro; great-granddaughter Halli Richards of Canton; siblings, Pauline Reichenbaugh of Canton, Jessie (and Gary) Laiblin of CA, Marie Kisor and Betty Mallernee both of Hartville, and June Dressel of Kent. Preceded in death by brothers, Verlee, Chester, John and Paul Machamer; and sister, Ruth Kuhn and twin sister Iris Grisak. Friends may call Tuesday 5-8 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and Masonic Services are scheduled Tuesday 7:45 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday 10 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Doug Hisey officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
