Ira Donald Friesel, age 52, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2021. He was born in Akron on April 17, 1968. He was employed by Lane Logix. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and considered his son his "best friend."

He is survived by his wife Theresa Phillips; children Heather Phillips and Nick Phillips; grandchildren Aubryanna, Serenity and Joshua II; mother Bernadette Friesel; brother Charles Friesel; and other friends and relatives. Preceded in death by his father Charles Friesel.

Calling hours are Wednesday 4-6 PM at Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave N, Canton. A time of sharing begins at 6 PM. Any contributions can be made to help with expenses.
