Iona M. DioGuardi, age 88, of Canton, passed away on Friday Evening August 19, 2011 in the comfort of her granddaughter's home. She was born in Canton, Ohio on April 21, 1923 to the late Albert and Carrie (Pugh) Perkins. She attended Central High School and worked for R. & J. Furniture for over 20 years. After her daughter was raised, she became a realtor for Maltese Reality for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and collecting antiques. Preceded in death by her husband Victor DioGuardi on June 21, 2011; daughter Audrey Rose Wolfe on May 15, 2003; sister Lois Matheson; and brothers Raymond and Fred Perkins. She is survived by her granddaughters Colleen and Todd Barnes of Marlboro and Christine and Parnell Pollard of Columbus; great-grandchildren Shawn and Dr. Colleen Morris, Dustin and Stephanie Morris, Andy and Sam Pollard; great-great-granddaughters Callie Morris and Rylee Marin; brother Charles Perkins of South Carolina; other relatives and friends. Calling hours are Tuesday 6-8 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Canton and Wednesday one hour prior to services 10-11 AM . Funeral services are Wednesday 11 AM at the funeral home. Final resting place is Sunset Hills Burial Park.
