Ilene (Raffel) Manheim, age 75, of Canton passed away Sunday morning, July 22, 2012, at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center surrounded by her loving family. Ilene was born on October 4, 1936 in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Lehman High School in 1955. She attended The Ohio State University. Ilene was a longtime member of Temple Israel. She was also a former member of Temple Israel Sisterhood, Hadassah and ORT. For many years, Ilene worked alongside the love of her life, Bill, at Bill Manheim Photography. Her generous smile, warm heart and loving spirit will forever be remembered by all of those who knew her. Ilene is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bill, her sons Steven of Vermilion and Marc of Canton. She is preceded in death by her parents Morris and Norma (Levin) Raffel. The family would like to send their sincere appreciation for the wonderful treatment provided to Ilene from the staff of Aultman Hospital, Aultman Woodlawn, Compassionate Care Center and Morningstar during this difficult time. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in North Lawn Cemetery with Rabbi John Spitzer officiating.
