Ida Shapero, passed away October 20, 2015 at the age of 99. She was born in Canton. Ohio, attended McKinley High School, and was a life-long member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue. Canton was her home for many years before moving to Memphis, Tennessee to be with her family. Preceded in death by her husband, Ben Shapero, parents Ben Adelman and Itka Adelman, son-in-law, Dr. Marvin Klein, sisters, Anne Adelman, Sarah Baker, Faye Berson, and brother Louis Adelman. Her passion in life was her family. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Klein of Memphis, TN, grandchildren, Nancy Hamlett (Perry) of Franklin, TN, Ben Zeitlin (Laura) of Franklin, TN, Robert Zeitlin (Deborah) of Carmel, Indiana, and her 7 great-grandchildren. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2015 at Arnold Funeral Home, with Hazzan Bruce Braun officiating. Burial will follow at Canton Hebrew Cemetery.
