Hester Faye Nelson, age 78, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday August 24, 2008 following a short illness. She passed away in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. Hester was born in Clay County, WV on September 21, 1929 to George and Margaret (Turner) Johnson. She was a resident of New Baltimore, Ohio for most of her adult life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and will be missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. She loved vegetable gardening. Preceded in death by husband Hollie Nelson and a daughter Sandra Kay Nelson; she is survived by one brother Norman (Avis) Johnson of Clay County, WV; children Connie (Dave) Sabaka of North Canton, Linda (Dan) Snyder of Canton, Randy (Linda) Nelson of Hartville; grandchildren, Christy (Rob) Chapman of Akron, Andy (Andrea) Sabaka of Mokena, IL, Katie Sabaka of North Canton, Sarah Nelson of Hartville, Brannon (Adrian) Snyder of Uniontown; great-grandchildren Elaine Sabaka, Jacob, Isaac and Zion Snyder. Also survived by her beloved cousin and life-long friend Donna Kay Nottingham of Uniontown and her best friend Jean Crowder of New Baltimore. Calling hours are Wednesday 6-9 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and one hour prior to services Thursday 10-11 AM. Funeral services are Thursday 11 AM in the funeral home.
