Helen Lucile Sietman, age 91 of Hartville formerly of Ashtabula went home to be with the Lord on Saturday November 10, 2007 in the comfort of her daughter's home with family by her side. She was born in Norwalk, Ohio on September 4, 1916 to the late Homer LeRoy and Esther (Hoyt) Norton. Helen attended Moody Bible Institute for their Missions Course and National Bible Institute where she studied Nursing. She had been a nurse's aide for Ashtabula General Hospital for 18 years. She served with her husband, John "Jack" Sietman as a missionary for 4 years in Morocco and for approximately 19 years at The Gospel Hall on Station Ave. and later on Cleveland Ave. in Ashtabula. She enjoyed many things especially the Lord and her family. Preceded in death by her husband in 1991; infant daughter, Esther Marie; and 9 brothers and sisters, Muriel, Eunice, Ruby, Beryl, Rollin, Ray, James, Albert and Clarence. She is survived by her children, David (Annette) Sietman of Kent, OH, Becky (Earl) Mast of Hartville, Dan (Bernice) Sietman of Beaver Creek, OH, Jim (Darlene) Sietman of Ashtabula, OH, Ruth Sietman of Loxahatchee, FL, Sam (Alicia) Rosario of Palmetto, FL; 15 grandchildren, Julie (Juan) Hernandez, Joel (Nina) Ashcraft, Rick (Beth Anne) Mast, Esther Lynn (Brent) Harding, Brian (Terrie) Mast, Kevin Mast, Dan (Rebecca) Sietman, Tim (Ginger) Sietman, Greg (Wendy) Sietman, April (Kevin) Litman, Heather (Brad) Rice, Tommy Sietman, Jennifer Sietman, Yaelin Rosario and Vanessa Rosario; 20 great-grandchildren, Mario Hernandez, Evonne (Michael) Bridge, Eric Arbogast, Justin, Derek and Kyle Mast, Izacik and Taevin, Nathan, Ryin, Matthew and Erika Rae Mast, Brandon McCabe, Ashley, Brittney and Alyssa Mast, Bradlee and Elizabeth Sietman, Elijah Litman, Alyssa Rice, Xavier Young; one great-grandchild on the way; a sister-in-law, Helen Norton, and a host of other family and friends including Grace and Larry Rhodes of WV. Calling hours are Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 9-10 AM at Hartville Mennonite Church. Memorial services are Thursday 10 AM in the church with Helen's son, Pastor Daniel Sietman officiating. Burial will be in Berlinville Cemetery Thursday afternoon.
