Helen Irene Pfabe, age 76, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 4, 2008 in Aultman Hospital. She was born April 17, 1932 in Canton to Donald and Myrna (Balmer) Jury and has been a lifetime resident of Canton. Helen was a graduate of McKinley High School, attended Zion United Church of Christ and was a member of Congress Lake Club. Though she has left this world for something far greater, she will not be far gone in the hearts of many. Her resiliency and faith will live on as bedrocks for those who knew and loved her. Never has such a magnificent women passed so humbly through our lives. Her life was devoted to her husband and her children and grandchildren, who celebrate the beauty of this well-lived life. Never have any of them known a better supporter or cheerleader than her. In times of hardship, she was the softest shoulder cry on, and was the first there to celebrate even the smallest victory. She truly was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Allen J. Pfabe; daughters and son-in-law, Sherry Carl of North Canton, Susan Mione of Florida, Karen and Erik Essig of North Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Thoy Pfabe of Canton; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Agnes and Albert Tanksley of North Canton She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Wright and brothers, Charles and Alvin Jury. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. in Zion United Church of Christ in North Canton with Eli Klingensmith officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
