Helen Petteys, age 76, passed away on September 4, 2023, after a rapid journey with ALS. She was born February 21, 1947, in Harrisburg, PA, to Lester and Naomi (Groff) Wagner and she married her late husband Lloyd W. Petteys, Jr. on June 21, 1970.

She was raised in New Bloomfield, PA, and graduated from Shippensburg College, PA.  Helen had a passion for travel and photography, especially when connected with her family.  Helen was a member of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd. She is survived by her children Becky Petteys (Michael Agostini) of Newton, MA, Heather Petteys (John Umbaugh) of Ann Arbor, MI, and Jeff of Hartville, OH; grandchildren Max, Ollie, and Violet Umbaugh; siblings Phyllis (James) Lyons and Lester (Janet) Wagner; 10 nieces and nephews and 14 great-nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held.  Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jacob's Church in North Canton, OH or the ALS Association.
