Obituary

Helen D. O'Neal Finally home on Wednesday July 4, 2007 at 1:30 PM, Helen left this world and stepped on the shores of Heaven due to natural causes at the age of 85. She was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on December 30, 1921 and lived her entire life in Suffield, Ohio. She was a loving wife to Kenneth G. O'Neal, Sr. and a faithful mother to: Delphene A. Reigle (deceased), Dolly M. Robinson (Jim), Pastor Kenneth G. O'Neal, Jr. (Marilyn), Pastor Joseph D. O'Neal (Kay), Mickey O'Neal (Cheryl) and Ruthie L. Rauber (Tom). She is survived by her 90-year-old husband, Kenneth to whom she would have been married 67 years on August 23rd. She was a prayerful grandmother of ten grandchildren: Michael O'Neal, Kimberly Gallo, Aaron Rauber, Amy Rauber Storey, Jennifer O'Neal Morgan, Julie O'Neal, Joseph Scott O'Neal, Joanna O'Neal Moore, Lammoth Michael O'Neal, Jaymeca Michelle O'Neal; 5 step-grandchildren: Tammy Robinson Duecker, Maria Robinson Snead, Tracy Robinson Coblentz, Jessica R. Hosfeld and Joshua G. Selden; nine great-grandchildren; and two living sisters, Clarabelle Katalinas and Mary Ethel McBride. Helen graduated from Suffield School in 1939. Her employment over the years included Monarch Rubber, Ravenna Mill and Walsh College. Her Christian ministries included children's choir, adult Bible studies, drama presentations, and pianist for numerous churches: Arlington Baptist Mission, Cottage Grove Baptist Church, Fairhaven Baptist Church, The Chapel on Brown and Vine/Fir Hill, Mogadore Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Ravenna/Portage Community Chapel. The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital/ Summa Health System for their excellent comfort care given to her during her short illness. The family would also like to thank the Agency for the Aged and their Passport Program. They provided wonderful caregivers and resources that enabled Helen to live independently with family. Calling hours are Friday 6-8 PM and Saturday 10-11 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville. The funeral is Saturday 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Perry Chronister officiating. Burial is in Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Portage Community Chapel's Building Fund or the Alzheimer's Association. Arnold 330-877-9364
