Helen Jane Ledgerwood, age 87, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord Monday March 7, 2016. She was born on January 19, 1929 in Canton, Ohio to the late Walter and Verna (Fausneaucht) Linder but was primarily raised by her grandmother Frances Fausneaucht in Middlebranch. She graduated from Hartville High School in 1947. After graduating she worked at Monarch Rubber Company where she met Olin Ledgerwood. They were married May 21, 1950 at the Hartville Church of the Brethren. Helen was a secretary for the Hartville Church of the Brethren as well as the Northern Ohio District of the Brethren Church. Helen was a gracious and generous woman who loved her family well. She always treasured attending the sporting events of her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards and games and vacationing with her family. She was also a woman of faith who served her Savior and her church for decades.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years Olin; children Bruce of Navarre, Marvin (Polly) of South Carolina, Jerry (Tammy) of North Canton, Philip (Evelyn) of Cuyahoga Falls, Linda (Larry) Chambliss of Massillon; grandchildren Rachel (Eric) Kotzar; Benjamin (Jessica), Justin (Amanda), Abby (Daniel) Sawhook, Holly (Jordan) Boyd; Amanda and David; Lorenzo, Zachary, Bianca and Monterey Chambliss; great-grandchildren Logan and Charlotte Ledgerwood, Malachi, Annalise and Noelle Sawhook, Caleb and Ian Boyd; brother-in-law Richard Ledgerwood of Akron; sister-in-law Bonnie Bender of Canton and other relatives and friends.

Calling hours are Thursday 4-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are Friday 11 AM at Hartville Church of the Brethren with Pastor Anthony DiMarco officiating. Final viewing is prior to the service 10-11 AM. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church.
