Harry E. Varner, age 89, of Hartville, passed away Saturday evening, January 6, 2013. He was born March 23, 1923 in Huntington Township, Pennsylvania to Frank and Nellie Varner and has been a Hartville area resident for more than 45 years. Harry was a WW II Army Veteran and was a Flooring Installer. He had been a member of Alliance Baptist Temple and Truth Baptist Church in Atwater and was a member of the Buckskin Bowmen Archery Club. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Jeanette in 2010 and a daughter Jean Dick in 2007. He is survived by four children, David (Ginny) Varner of Hartville, Stephen (Bobbi) Varner of Newport News, Virginia, Harry (Jodi) Varner Jr. of Hartville and Susan (Gene) Schneider of Marlboro; 26 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Calling hours are Tuesday 10-12:00 at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. The Funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon on Tuesday with Pastor Randy Payne officiating.
