Harry E. Kennedy, age 82, passed away on September 5, 2011, in The Villages, Florida, after an extended illness. He was born to the late Harry and Dorothy (Van Dusen) Kennedy in Milford, Connecticut on May 16, 1929. He grew up in Watertown, Massachusetts. Harry attended the University of Connecticut and served in the Army after graduation from college. He worked for 37 years at the Hoover Company beginning his career as a field auditor and retired as the National Service Director. His positions at the Hoover Company gave him the opportunity to visit all 50 states as well as many other countries. In 1995 he was inducted into the Vacuum and Sewing Hall of Fame. Harry is survived by his wife Margaret (Gill) whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on July 15; daughters Maureen (Daniel) Radalia of Louisville, Ohio, Laurie (Bill) Wood of Delaware, Ohio, Kathy (Chris) Mlynek of Puerto Rico; son John (Amie) Kennedy of Norcross, Ga.; grandchildren Tyler and Catelyn Radalia, Adam, Andrew and Phillip Wood, Grace and Callie Kennedy, and Lauren and Dean Mlynek; and sisters Jean Hannon of Natick, Mass and Dorothy MacRae of Highman, Mass. Harry was an avid Boston sports fan as well as UConn fan. He also loved camping and vacationing at the ocean, especially at Hilton Head, with his family. He also volunteered his time at St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton, The Hoover Historical Center, Hoover Company Activity Committee, North Canton Elks Club as well as many other local organizations. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Saturday September 17th at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday 5-7 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home Canton.
