Obituary

Harry S. Keagy, age 75, of Canton, died Monday evening after an extended illness. Born in Altoona, PA to the late Jacob R. and Elsie I. (Gottschall) Keagy he retired in 1992 from Operating Engineers Local #18 where he was a heavy equipment operator. Harry served in the Army during the Korean War, was a member of First Baptist Church of Canton, Wm McKinley Lodge # 431 F & AM, AASR Valley of Canton, Washington Council #12, and Junior Order of United American Mechanics. Harry was also a long and avid participant with Habitat for Humanity and was a member of the "Thursday Crew". In addition to his parents Harry was preceded in death by infant daughter: Pamela Rae Keagy, Son: Harry Edward Keagy and a grandson: Alexander Paul, USMC. Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. Robert (Cindi) Beals of Canton, Sharan Paul of Waynesburg, OH, Vickie (Keagy) Ledford of Canton and Mrs. Gregory (Christi) Albert of Massillon. Thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, two sisters: Lida Rose of Canton and Mrs. Ronald (Judy) Gore of Louisville. Two brothers: Jerry (Nancy) Keagy of Massillon and Jim (Wonda) Keagy of Canton. Funeral service will be Friday 11:00 A.M. in First Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin E. Slyh officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. Masonic Service will be Thursday 4:45 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity 2800 Leemont Ave., N.W Canton, OH 44709.
