Harold Glenn Boyd, age 92, of Hartville, passed away on Friday October 23, 2015. He was born March 8, 1923 in Route 1 Irondale, Ohio to the late Blanchard Bertrum and Freda Iona (Hile) Boyd. In 1982 he retired from Koppers Company, Follansbee, WV after working there for 43 years. He enjoyed farming, gardening, camping, wood working and volunteer work at the Hartville Thrift Shop. His favorite hobby was beautiful counted cross stitch. He was a devout Christian and a faithful member of the Cornerstone Mennonite Church in Hartville, OH. He enjoyed country and blue grass music and his favorite song was "One Day at a Time, Sweet Jesus." He is survived by his wife Susie (Miller) Boyd; daughters Karen Boyd of Atlanta, GA, Margaret Jill (Danny) Everly of Wintersville, OH; son-in-law John Agresta; two brothers Emerson of Stanardsville, VA and Lester (Marjory) of Massillon, OH; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Proceeding him in death were his parents; sisters Martha and Iona; daughter Polly (Boyd) Agresta; brother Duane; and first wife Wilda (McClurg) Boyd. Calling hours are Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Cornerstone Mennonite Church. Funeral services are Wednesday 10:30 AM in the church with Pastor Stan Grizzle officiating. Graveside committal services will be Wednesday 2:00 PM at Fort Stueben Burial Estates in Wintersville following the funeral luncheon at Cornerstone. Memorials may be made to the church.
