Grace M. VanEck, age 85, of Louisville formerly of Canton passed away Tuesday July 4, 2006 at Altercare of Louisville. She was born in Baltimore, MD on March 31, 1921 to the late Thomas L. and Dorothy A. (Lohmeyer) Forney. While a resident of Altercare, Grace stayed very busy with activities like bingo, dances, attending church and sewing. Her independence was admired. Preceded in death by husband, Julius; and brother Howard Lohmeyer. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and George Guesman of Marlboro, Linda and Doug Dunlap of Atwater; grandchildren Dodie Storsin of Canton, George Guesman Jr. of Marlboro, Maria Weirich, Lennie Miller both of Hartville, Audra Milburn, Melissa Dunlap, Jessica Dunlap and James Dunlap all of Atwater; 9 great-grandchildren, Brandon Storsin, Charmaine and George III Guesman, David, Corey and Brendan Weirich, Joshua and Victoria Miller, Kendra Milburn; siblings, Thomas Forney of Cambridge, OH; and other relatives and friends.
