Grace Edmunds, age 82, of Canton, passed away Friday morning, August 18, 2006 at Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton on March 9, 1924 to the late Leo and Lillian Kendall, Grace was a 1942 graduate of Timken High School. She married James Edmunds on April 11, 1947 and celebrated 59 years of marriage. When her children were school age, she became a secretary for Canton City Schools working at Lehman High School, Garfield and Martin Elementary Schools. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Canton Woman's Club and Shriner's Ladies Club. Grace cherished her friendships with the Garfield Gang and Card Club. Preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Dutney; she is survived by her husband, James; son J. Timothy Edmunds of Brunswick, OH; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Paul Gammill of Crofton, MD, Sue Ellen and Richard Menhorn of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Jane Chaplin, Jim, Tom, Bill and Julia Edmunds, Erin and Megan Gammill and Steven Menhorn; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 nieces, Eileen Dutney-Kicken of Canton, Kathleen Dutney of Columbus and Sharon Ore of Pittsburgh, PA. Special thanks to her compassionate companion Cindy Albert. Friends may call Sunday 3-5 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday 2:00 PM in the funeral home with Rev.
