Gordon Winston, age 80, of Canton passed away Tuesday January 20, 2009 in the comfort of his home with his wife by his side. He was born in Massillon on June 20, 1928 to Hyman and Bess Weinstein. He served in the reserves. He was a member of Temple Israel. A successful entrepreneur, Gordon Winston was President of Ace Rent-A-Car System, Ace Auto Glass, Northfield Auto Auction Corp., Network 1, Inc., Contemporary Lighting Designs, Vice-president of Welcome Aboard Travel Agency, and Founder of Northfield Commons FleaMarket in Northfield. He is survived by his wife Oralia; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Sheri Winston of Huston, TX, Michael and Barbara Winston and grandchildren Alida, Alex and Max all of Jackson Township; sister Elaine Weinstein of Canton; brother and sister-in-law Myron and Toni Winston of Sarasota, FL; step-children Ellen Lavin (Jim) of San Diego, CA and Robert Fischgrund (Donna) of Kansas City. Private Family Services were held in North Lawn Cemetery with Rabbi Leah Herz officiating.
