Gordon V. Washington, age 89, of Canton went to meet his Heavenly Father Monday morning. He was born in Pineville, Kentucky to the late George and Marie (Collins) Washington. Gordon was a great blues pianist; he loved God and was a great minister. He was "Pops the Legend." In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene; daughter, Vanita Bolden and son, George "Ricky" Washington. Gordon is going to be missed by his loving son, James Michael (Susie) Washington and daughter, Angela Marie Washington. He was a loving PaPa to Sophia Chanel Washington, Charmaine Bolden, Breonna McAllister, Charity Reed, Richard Washington, Robert Washington, Vanessa and Trevor Washington; great grandchildren, Kenadee Koch, Vanity Reed, Louise & Margaret Washington and Michelle Bolden.
