Obituary

Gordon F. "Hap" Stotsbery, age 77, of Canton died Monday afternoon in Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Canton to the late Richard and Anna (Paar) Stotsbery he was a life resident. A graduate of Lehman High School, Hap was a truck driver with the teamsters for 30 years retiring form Fresh Mark. A longtime member of Canton Elk's Lodge # 68, Hap was an avid softball player and loved dogs . In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother: Jack Bolender. Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years: Victoria Stotsbery. He dearly loved his children and will be cherished and loved forever by his daughters: Diane McFadden, Elizabeth Farina, Kathleen (Alex) Sedon and Margaret (Mike) DeStefano all of Canton. Loving grandchildren surviving are: Jackie, Michael, Kimberly, Erik and Al Gordon. Also surviving are five loving great grandchildren and his brother: Robert Kuehner (April) of Bolivar, OH. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Stark County 5100 Peach St., N.E. Louisville, OH 44641. Please sign the guest book.
