Gordon L. Becton, age 81, of Randolph, passed away Friday December 17, 2010 at Akron City Hospital with his family by his side. He was born September 22, 1929 in Ellet, Ohio to the late Walter and Edna (Knowlton) Becton. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army and was a social member of VFW Post 7490. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Teamster Local #24. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Margaret (Butler); children Bruce (Lisa) Becton of Randolph, Barry (Sandi) Becton of Atwater, Pam (Gene) Brown of Randolph, Brad Becton of North Port, FL, Brett (Kimberly) Becton of Randolph; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and sister Alice (Frank) Hagan of Randolph. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Brian and brother Walter "Bud" (Helen) Becton. Calling hours are Monday 5-8 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are Tuesday 11 AM at Arnold Funeral Home with Dean Miller officiating. Final resting place is Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
