Gloria Smith, age 77, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 6, 2017. She was born on February 21, 1940 in Wayne County, Ohio to the late Noah and Martha (Nussbaum) Geiser.

She loved going to church, sewing, gardening and her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Donald Hurley Smith; sister Doris Geiser; sister-in-law Velma Geiser and brother-in-law David Steiner; she is survived by children Lamar (Wendy) Smith, Janita (Keith) Donaldson, Timothy Smith, Lucinda (Dan) King; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Herbert (Luella) Geiser, Eunice Steiner, Florence (Ronald) Smith; Gerald Geiser and Arlin (Becky) Geiser; and other relatives and friends.

Calling hours are Sunday 3-6 PM at Bethany Mennonite Church. Funeral services are Monday 10 AM at the church with Pastor Dave Slabaugh officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
