Gloria L. Hershey, age 78, of Hartville, passed away Friday morning in Mercy Medical Center. She was born December 6, 1939 in Akron to William and Janet (Grady) Leigh. Gloria graduated from Garfield High School, was an executive secretary at B.F. Goodrich, retiring in 1995, then owned and operated the Olde Homestead Craft Shop in Hartville. She enjoyed bowling, country music, her flowers, the Cleveland Indians, but nothing was more important than her family, especially when they were babies.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jerry; daughters, Colleen Oliver (Steve Petrick), Kelly Barber (Tim); son, Jeff Hershey (Sheena); additional daughters and son, Cindy Hershey Cleary (Darrell), Mindy Hershey Trenor (Bud), David Hershey, Sharon Hershey White (Trent); daughter-in-law Tracey Hershey; sisters, Helen Reiff (Glen), Sally Pietro (Don); sisters in law, Gwen Kovesci, Judy Silver (Cliff), Susan Passmore (Tom); grandsons, Jason, Adam, and Kevin Cleary, Andrew and Aaron Barber, Michael Hershey, T.J. White, Austin Dalpra, and Ricky Jarvis(deceased); granddaughters, Lauren and Anna Hershey, Shannon Carani, Stacey Manus, Tara Miller, Christine Kimbel, Nicole Knapp, Arielle and Alexis Dalpra, and 15 great grandchildren.
Calling hours are Monday evening 6-8:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. Funeral services will be Tuesday 10:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Grizzle officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
