Gianfranca A. "Franca" Nichols, age 78, of Hartville went to be with the Lord Tuesday December 12, 2006 at Altercare of Hartville with loving family by her side. She was born in Pisa, Italy on December 4, 1928 to the late Petro and Maria Allegri. In Italy Franca worked for the armed forces and met her husband Parley "Nick" while he was stationed at the Air Force Base. They were married on July 28, 1948 in Pisa, Italy. Returning to the states, they made their home in Hartville. Franca had been a bookkeeper for the family business, Nick's Body Shop. A member of Hartville Mennonite Church, Franca was also very active with The Friendship Coffees Bible Study Group. She enjoyed playing bridge at Coventry Senior Center. Preceded in death by her sister Lorianna of Pisa. She is survived by her husband Parley "Nick"; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Cheri Nichols of Winston-Salem, NC, Terry and Mary Ellen Nichols of Hartville; grandchildren, John Nichols of Hartville, Angela (Lee) Poole of Greensboro, NC, Michael (Heather) Nichols of Baltimore, MD, Joseph (Melissa) Nichols of Tomball, TX, David (Autumn) Nichols of Hartville; great-grandchildren including, Jessica, Connor, Gabrielle, Amelia, Everette, Robby, Brittney, and Sammi; brother, Danilo Allegri of Milano. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Hartville Mennonite Church and one half hour prior to services Saturday 9:30-10 AM. Funeral Services will be Saturday 10 AM in the church with Dr. Dave Hall and Pastor Henry Shrock officiating. Final resting place is the church cemetery.
