Geula Rosen Weinstein, age 94, of Canton, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2008 in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Woodbine, New Jersey on January 9, 1914 and resided in Philadelphia Pennsylvania for the majority of her life. She married Sol Weinstein in 1937, raised a family, and upon Sol's retirement, they moved to Delray Beach, Florida where they enjoyed the sunshine together for eleven years. Geula and Sol were married 51 years. A few years after her husbands passing, Geula moved back to Philadelphia to be with her sister Ora. Geula has resided in North Canton, and Canton, Ohio since 2003. While residing in Philadelphia, she worked in center city for Lit Brothers as a Section Manager, and also in the downtown offices of the Insurance Company of North America. She was active in Tuba Lodge, a women's civic organization, and in her later years she donated countless hours of her time knitting blankets for newborns and special needs babies for many Philadelphia hospitals as a member of the Northeast Apartments Knitting Club, and for Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Geula is preceded in death by her parents Morris and Anna (Sussman) Rosen, her husband Sol Weinstein, son Arthur Weinstein, sister Aviva Goodman Wenkaert. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Fred and Mary Weinstein of North Canton, and sister Ora Polsky of Canton. She was known as "Bubby" to grandchildren Scott Weinstein, Samuel Weinstein, Lori Kurt, Marc Weinstein, Denise Weinstein and to five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Arnold Funeral Home, Canton with Rabbi John Spitzer officiating.
