Gertrude M. (Hartmann) Schaaf, age 96, of North Canton, passed away Monday evening. She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late William and Marie (Beckstett) Hartmann. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Schaaf. Gertrude is survived by her children: Robert A. (Susan) Schaaf, Jeanne M. Schaaf, Nancy A. (Gary) Wirth, Sally J. Schaaf and Sara G. (Scott) Warrick; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Catholic Church with Fr. Edward L. Beneleit as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. The procession will form at the church on Friday.
