Gertrude Gluck Reinhart, age 97, of Canton, died October 30, 2016 at Sardis Oaks Care Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Born on December 29, 1918 in Canton, Ohio to the late Emil and Helen (Weisz) Gluck, she was a 1936 graduate of McKinley High School. Gertie, as she was known by everyone, was a member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue where she volunteered in the Sunday School Classes, was past president and long-time member of The Sisterhood and member of Hadassah. She was an avid golfer, followed the Cleveland Indians ball team religiously and bowled on several leagues at her husband's Plaza Bowling Lanes.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry to whom she was married 59 years, and a sister, Pearl Netler.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Helman of Charlotte, NC and Susan Lewyn of Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Cindy Reinhart of Canton; 4 grandchildren, Steven Helman, Sharon Miller, David Lewyn and Sarah Reinhart; and 5 great-grandchildren, Sean Helman, Casey Miller, Daniel and Michael Lewyn and Covin Reinhart.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home and interment will be in Canton Hebrew Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shaaray Torah Synagogue or to a favorite charity.
