Gertrude Miller-Slabaugh, 94, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord, after a brief illness, on November 16, 2024. She was born 1 of 10 children in Geauga County on August 26, 1930 to the late Levi S. and Elizabeth (Schrock) Yoder. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Levi A. Miller, an infant son Richard Lee, grandsons Matthew and Michael Miller, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Gertrude is survived by Eli Slabaugh; children Lawrence (Susie) Miller, Loretta (Paul E.) Coblentz, Mary Jeanette(Lloyd) King, and Roderick (Janet) Miller; her sister, Naomi Mast; grandchildren, Daniel Miller, Deborah (Rick) Hook, Thomas (Teresa) Miller, Kenneth (Andrea) Coblentz, Steven (Viktoriya) Coblentz, Preston (Bonnie) Coblentz, Kevin (Brittany) King, Jessica (Sheldon) Stauffer, Adam Miller, and Haley (David) Horton; great-grandchildren, Harper and Lincoln Hook, Elena and Grayson Miller, Rachel, Luke, Jude, Samuel, Dylan, Caden, Bliss, Zane, Trey, and Gemma Coblentz, Travis, Aaron, Justin and Reagan King and Alaina and Rylan Stauffer; and great-great granddaughter, Nova.

Gertrude and Levi were dairy farmers for most of their lives, also landlord and antique shop owners.

One of Gertrude's greatest involvements was with charitable Christian ministries, MCC and Gideons, as well as others.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19th from 6-8 p.m. at Bethany Mennonite Church, Hartville, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church.
