Gertrude D. Brenckle, age 99 ¾, passed away on Tuesday June 20, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born on August 7, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Eugene and Mary (Schwitter) Graf. She married Jacob "Bud" Brenckle and they owned and operated Brenckle Farms in Hartville. She was a hard working farmer's wife. She wrote and left these words: "Don't shed tears, just remember the good times. Life is a roller coaster ride, the downs make you appreciate the ups. I lived life the way I wanted and had a great time! Thank-you Lord! I lived, laughed, loved and left."

She is survived by her children Tom, Bruce (Patty), Mark (Beth), Bev (Ron) Green; daughter-in-law Shelia; grandchildren Jon and Amy, Heidi (Steve) Ruggiero, Jason (Molly), Katie, Jacob (Brittany), Joe, Kelly (Alex) Poe, William Green; great-grandchildren Madison and Isabella Ruggiero; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband Jacob "Bud"; sons Raymond "Mooch" and Eugene; daughter-in-law Patricia; and 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

Calling hours are Sunday 3-5 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and one hour prior to services on Monday 11 AM- noon. Funeral services are Monday 12 noon at the funeral home with Father Richard Augustyn celebrant. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Marlboro Fire Department and Lake Township FISH.
