Geraldine McClung, age 82, of Canton passed away Friday February 17, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born March 13, 1923 in Holcomb, WV to the late George Taylor and Lillie Mary (Bess) Tharpe. Geraldine moved to Canton from WV in 1962 and attended the Church of the Savior, United Methodist. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by her husband, John Theodore in 1959; daughter, Genelda Mae; granddaughter, Debra Lynn; sisters, Genieve and Gretha; and brother, Ronald Eugene Tharpe. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Earl Gerald and Jo McClung of Hartville, James Ardell and Maxine McClung of North Canton; granddaughters, Sherry (Antonio) Mendoza of Hartville and Amanda (fiancé Brett McWilliams) McClung of Canton; 2 great-grandsons, Matthew McClung and Anthony Mendoza; special friend of 46 years, Luther Sloan of Canton; brothers, Jennings, Kenneth, Oscar, and Dewey (Donna) Tharpe all of Richwood, WV; and many nieces and nephews.
