Gerald Howard Koch, Jr., age 95, went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2023. He was a long-time resident of North Canton prior to his relocation to Sun City Center, FL for the last 8 years. Gerald was born November 12, 1927, in Salem, Ohio to the late Gerald and Shirley (Lavely) Koch. Gerald served in the Navy during World War II. Following his time in the service, he attended The Ohio State University where he was a member of the reserve football team. In 1951 he married his late wife, Georgianna and they were active members of Faith United Methodist Church in North Canton. Gerald spent over 25 years at the Hoover Company as a Systems Analyst.

Gerald is preceded in death by his wife, Georgianna, and grandson Robert Burton Iafelice. He is survived by children Daniel (Margret) Koch of Tampa, David (Anne) Koch of Colorado, and Sharon (Robert) Iafelice of Tampa; grandchildren Amber (Phil) Dove, David Jr. (Hiroko) Koch, Christine Shoemaker, Geoffrey (Chelsea) Koch, Matthew (Stephanie) Koch, Alisa Koch, Dr. Erica Iafelice; great grandchildren Riley Dove, Millie Dove, Arisa Koch, Kaito Koch, Souta Koch, Michael Hess, Kayleigh Hess, Evan Koch, Josh Koch, Camden Koch, Brody Koch, Sophia Koch, and Nicholas Koch.

Calling hours will be Saturday, January 14 from 10AM – 12PM at the Arnold & Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home at 4817 Cleveland Ave NW. Private funeral services with entombment at Northlawn mausoleum following calling hours.
