Georgeene Summers, age 93, of Canton, passed away early Thursday morning, May 12. Born in Canton to the late Simon and Corrine (Ulmschneider) Spilker, she was a life resident. Georgeene was a 1940 Lehman High graduate and a past Aultman Hospital volunteer. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and former member of Oakwood Country Club. Georgeene enjoyed tennis, golf, gardening, playing cards and most of all being with family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands, William Whitehouse and Howard Summers and a sister Dorothy Broadwater and a brother Richard Spilker. Georgeene was a loving mother and caring grandmother and is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Ann Whitehouse (Pat Walter) and Cathy (Ronald) Skelton; 2 grandchildren, Patrick Skelton and Erin (Ryan) Wilson; 3 great-grandchildren, Bryce Skelton, Lauren Louise Wilson and Grayson James Wilson; nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 17th in St. Mark's Episcopal Church 515 48th St. NW with The Rev. Dustin D. Berg officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to service in the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Please sign the guestbook.
