George R. Walczak, age 86, of Canton passed away on January 8, 2024. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 6, 1937, to Stephen J. and Eileen (Ehman) Walczak and is a graduate of Ft. Lauderdale High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he honorably served for 4 years, after his service he joined the Ft. Lauderdale Fire Department where he served for over 23 years. George loved to fish, listen to bluegrass music, and had a knack for fixing anything with an engine.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elouise Walczak; children Jim (Lynnette) Walczak, Kathleen (Russel) Sarver, and Stephen (Lorrenna) Walczak; grandchildren Benjamin and James Martinez and Dylan and Shelby Walczak; great grandson Corbin. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jack and Robert.

Calling hours will be Saturday, January 13 at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville from 10-11 AM. Funeral services will be at 11 AM in the funeral home with son Stephen Walczak officiating. Final resting place is Mt. Peace Cemetery.
