Obituary

George Eshelman Jr., age 98 of Hartville passed away Thursday evening September 13, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Hartville on May 25, 1909 to the late George and Almeda (Bolender) Eshelman and graduated from Hartville High School in 1928. George was a member of the Hartville Church of the Brethren. He worked at Timken Roller Bearing in Canton for 44 years and received the Distinguished Service Award when he retired in 1984. He aided his father on the family farm with whatever needed to be done. He was a member of the International Grapho Analysis Society, Inc., earned a Certified Grapho-Analytical Psychology degree, attended their meetings and practiced handwriting analysis. Hobbies were building Crystal Radios and fixing anything electrical or automotive. Preceded in death by sister, Mary Smith on August 10, 2007; he is survived by his sister, Esther Reiboldt Steffy Young of Hartville; nieces and nephews, Atleta Jane Smith of Peninsula, OH, Ethel (William) Carver of Grosse Ile, MI, Ralph (Patricia) Reiboldt of Warrington, PA, and Ruth (Owen) Sturgill of Hartville who cared for George the past 7 years; many great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Friends may call Sunday 1:30- 3:00 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Funeral services are Sunday 3 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Michaels. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
