Obituary

George K. Barlow, age 72, of Canton unexpectedly passed away on May 20, 2022, in his residence. He was born in Canton on November 10, 1949, and graduated from Carrolton High School and Kent State University. Following graduation, George began a 42-year career in public accounting as a CPA running his own firm, George Barlow CPA, Inc. George was a "farmer at heart" whether it be picking vegetables, canning food items, or tending to his garden. Above all else, family was the most important thing to George, spending time with his wife of 42 years, Karen and his 2 sons.

George is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Blackburn; brother Robert Blackburn; son Jeffrey Steven. He is survived by his wife Karen; sons George K. Barlow Jr. (Cathleen Young) and Michael (Caitlin) Barlow; siblings Charlene (Rick) Jones, Debbie (John) McGowan, and Amie Jones (Bill Allison); sister and brother-in-law Paula (Tom) Hoch; several nieces, nephews, friends and clients.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 24th in the Arnold Funeral Home at 1517 Market Ave N. from 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be May 25th at 11 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
