Gail Rownd

Gail Tomlin Rownd passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 80. The past year and a half Gail lived near her sister in southwest Florida. Prior to that, she was a lifelong resident of Canton.

Gail is preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert Rownd, their daughter Lora Rownd, her parents Homer & Justine Tomlin & her dear brother Bob Tomlin.

Gail is survived by her sister Charlotte (Charles) Lyke, sister-in-law Penny Tomlin and many cherished nieces and nephews. Grandchildren Hana Weitendorf, Robert (Stephanie) Weitendorf, Kate (Christian) Marquez, Kelly, John, Emily & Caroline Rownd. Great grandchildren Joseph & Emma Weitendorf, Lucy & Nate Marquez.

Gail was a graduate of Canton South High School and received a Business Degree from Kent State University. Gail was a good athlete enjoying most racquet sports, but golf was her favorite sport. She was always ready to travel to meet friends for a round of golf.

Gail was an active member of the Canton Women’s Club, Canton Ballet, and the Canton Symphony League.

Gail was a woman of Faith and was a member of the Church of the Lakes. She was loved and will be missed by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Canton Women’s Club.
