G. Claudine (Kocar) Knowles, age 94, of Hartville passed on to be with her Savior on Wednesday September 3, 2014. She was born on September 16, 1919 in Worthington, West Virginia to the late Lindsay and Lelia (Davis) Ball. She was a retired dental assistant retiring in 1976 after 20 years. Over the years she was active in the Hartville Fireman's Auxiliary, Jr. Women's Club, Hartville Sorosis and the Hartville Garden Club. She was a parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and more recently at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was a loving wife and mother. Preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Joseph Kocar in 1983, and husband of 21 years Dale Knowles in 2008; and 3 younger brothers Lindsay, Billy and Danny Ball. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (Kenneth) Foster of Canton; son Gary Kocar of Sun City, Arizona; 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren soon to be 5; and extensive family on the Knowles side. Calling hours are Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 10:30 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Deacon Charles Ivan, celebrant.
