G. June Covey Age 73, of North Canton, passed away at her home on October 30th after a brief illness. She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Stella (Laurain) and Elmer Zivnak. Her marketing/ advertising career and community activities spanned 45 years in Los Angeles, Akron and Canton, 38 years as Media Director and VP-Finance for Covey & Koons ad agency in Canton. June graduated from Mount Vernon (OH) Academy and studied psychology and accounting at Kent State/Stark and Walsh College. June is survived by her husband of 35 years, W. Roderic Covey; sister; Anna Mae Reynolds, three children; Richard, Bret and Todd Holliday; daughters-in-law, Jill, Patty, and Rose; eight grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren; stepchildren, Rod A,. Craig, Lisa and step grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon and Justin. A private memorial service for June was held at Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home (Cleveland Ave. N.) on Saturday, November 7, 2009.
