G. Scott Booth, age 81, of Canton, passed away Sunday morning in his residence after an extended illness. Born in Youngstown, OH to the late Paul & Claire (Clinghan) Booth he had resided here for the past thirty six years. Mr. Booth was a graduate of Wooster College and Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He was retired from First Merit Bank where he served as Vice President and was a Trust Officer. He was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Red Hackle Bag Pipe Band of Cleveland, Brookside Country Club and served as a council member of Hill & Dales Village for 25 years. Survivors include his wife of 52 years: Carol Booth of the residence. Two daughters: Abby Booth of Canton and Susan Booth and her husband Max Leventhal of Atlanta, GA. Two sons: Paul B. (Gail) Booth of San Jose, CA and G. Scott (Heidi) Booth, Jr. of Hudson, OH. Four grandchildren: George & Brian Booth, Cameron Booth, and Moira Leventhal. Two sisters: Nancy Lorimer & Mrs. James (Mary Jane) Murray also survive. A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday in Christ Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wendy Bausman officiating. A private interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call on Wednesday from 7 to 9 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice 2821 Woodlawn Ave., N.W. Canton, OH 44708.
