Frederick T. Crewse

Frederick Thomas Crewse passed away peacefully in his sleep August 18, 2026. He was born December 7, 1947, to Frederick and Mildred Crewse. Fred graduated from Glenwood High School, earned an Education Degree from Valparasio University, and a Doctorate of Education at The University of Akron. Fred’s career was dedicated to education at various levels in several local school districts.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Kate, sister Sandy (Glenn) O'Shoney, daughter Kiersten Pepper, son Aaron Crewse, stepson Matthew Kolp, grandchildren Ryan (Jillian) Pepper, Abby (Nic) Ritchey, Madison Pepper, Adalynn Crewse, great-grandson Bennett Pepper.

The family is appreciative of the care he received from The Cleveland Clinic, Mercy Hospital, Visiting Angels Services in Florida and Canton, and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Fred’s name to The First Tee (PO Box 7555, 2525 25th Street NE, Canton, 44705), Alzheimer’s Association or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, or to any local Visiting Angels Services.
