Fred N. Timpe, Sr. Fred was the oldest son of Fred J. and Olive Timpe. He was born September 11, 1941 in Chicago, IL. At the age of two, the family moved to Winterset, OH, a small town in Southern Ohio, first on the farm and later in town. He attended Madison High school, but graduated from McKinley High after a move to Canton in 1956. After graduating from Canton Business College, he worked in accounting at The Timken Company from 1964 until his retirement in 1996. While his stay on Earth was far too short, he thoroughly enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, bowling, and football. He loved warm weather and cookouts. Fred was preceded in death by a sister, Helene, a brother Harry R., and his parents. Fred leaves behind Betty, his wife of 43 years, and two sons, Fred N. ll, and William, two brothers and their spouses, Ray and Barb of North Canton, and Jack and Julie of Jupiter, FL, many close cousins, several nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews. A member since 1957 and former usher of Canton Baptist Temple, he was saved and is now in Heaven. Fred passed away February 8, 2008, at 5:22 AM in Aultman Hospital. For those who knew him and worked with him, his kind heart and sweet spirit will live on. We will miss him greatly. Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home, Canton. Funeral services are Thursday 11 AM in the Canton Baptist Temple CHAPEL with Pastor David Harmon and Pastor Delaney Young officiating. Final resting place is Northwood Cemetery in Cambridge.
