Frank X. Hund, age 84, passed away Monday August 22, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born August 2, 1938, in Galesburg, Illinois to Carl and Mary (Barton) Hund. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Notre Dame University where he played and was captain of the golf team. Frank was passionate about golf at a young age and won his first formal tournament at age 14 competing against adults. He was a long-time member of Congress Lake Country Club and was a past Club Champion. Mr. Hund retired from Cahners Publishing where he was the top salesman for years. In addition to golf, Frank loved cooking, reading, red wine and family gatherings.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Doreen Leaf-Hund, together they built Doreen Leaf Designs Bridal Shop in Hartville. He is also survived by family,  Brad (Carol) Hund, Greg (Troy Barker) Hund, Karen Leaf-Lyons, Kathie (Chad) Leaf-Bordner, Ellen (Tim) Leaf-Moore, grandchildren, Madyson (Pedro) Rossello, Andrew (Christa) Hund, Theodore (Matt) Leaf-Habib, Beth (Chris) Dehghanpoor, Jon Travis Becherer, Courtney (Micah) Dowell, Porter Lyons, Jessica (Husam) Qasim, Harper Lyons and three great grandchildren; sister Margie (Kip) Kanutzon, brothers Larry (Connie) Hund, Phil (Sue) Hund. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara.

The family is inviting friends to join them at Congress Lake Country Club Saturday, September 10th from 4-6:00 p.m. for a Celebration of Life to remember and share stories about Frank in a setting that he loved. Toast at 5:30.
