Obituary

Frank "Chip" Howard III, 61, of Canton, formerly of Columbus, and Houston TX, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family April 14, 2008, at Houston Hospice after a battle with lung cancer. Born November 27, 1946, in Canton, he grew up at Congress Lake Club in Hartville. He graduated from Kent State University High School in 1964 and attended Ohio State University. After service in the Army, he worked for the family business, Canton Welder's Supply. He continued to sell industrial gasses for over 30 years. He and his family moved to Columbus, and then Houston, TX, where he lived for the past ten years. He was a consummate salesman who enjoyed his work. He was a loving husband and father of three. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Howard, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Diana; mother, Mary Lou Howard; brothers Thomas and Robert; son Peter (Allison); daughters Hillary and Gayle; and grandson Oliver. Graveside funeral services will be held at North Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday April 16, at 1:00 pm. with Rabbi John Spitzer officiating.
